    A quick-paced romance that brings two broken souls together. Cute and bubbly Kiara was everything the brooding Arjun was not. Now if you have read An Autograph for Anjali by Sundari Venkatraman, you have already met Arjun. He is the guy who was the life of that novel. So what made his so serious suddenly? What made him bitter? What made him almost give up? I think in this book Ms.Vekatraman has handled some very tough issues in her own light-hearted way. Definitely a book read when you are feeling low and need something to cheer you up.

    'Arjun's Penance' written by Sundari Venkatraman is a sweet and beautiful fast paced romance novel. This book is well written in fact each book by Sundari Venkatraman is resplendent with Indian values and strong stories.

    The main protagonist of the story is Arjun Mathur, Managing Director, Mathur Group of Industries. He lives with his brave mother Anjali and a loving and supportive step-father, Parth. He loved a girl named Jane, but she died in a terrible accident ten years ago. That day onwards Arjun lived a life of penance, and took a pledge that he will stay away from women even in dreams. People used to call him Buddha behind his back. The only women to cared about, listen and speak to was his mother.

    But one day a beautiful lady walked into his office as well as into his life, Kiara. Will she be able to bring out Arjun from his penance? Will she be able to soften up Arjun's heart? To know more grab this book...

    A beautiful romance novel. Writing style is flawless, language is simple and easy to understand. It is an engaging read, once you start you won't be able stop yourself from turning the pages till the end. I really loved the book. Give it a try. Recommended for all.

    I got into the book and the very first part gave me chills. Maybe it's because of the presence of death in there, the author just from the very beginning managed to get my emotions upright.

    The main three characters at the very beginning of the book remains to be an important element of the plot. The relationship that Parth and Arjun have is something that isn't seen in here much, but something on the right path.

    Arjun is a business man, who took over his fathers path after he passed away, where in it is mentioned that Jayant, his father was murdered in the same flat where Arjun lives.

    The characters are brought up in an appreciable manner, with the important characters given nice attention. Kiara, gets introduced as the story moves ahead, her past is also explored in a good way without mixing anything up. The transition done there is smooth.

    Jane was Arjuns long lost love. But was Jane really in love with him for the whole time or just his money? It wasn't a question until Janes part gets introduced.

    This book has got a lot of nail biting events, and the best part is the way the love blooms in. The narration is smooth and every transition is done in a very smooth manner. The title is Apt for the plotline. Overall a wonderful book that leaves no cliffhanger.

    The main character of the story is the Managing Director of "Mathur Group of Industries", Arjun Mathur. In the story, Arjun is in agony because of the loss of an important person from his life that is Jane ( Arjun's girlfriend ) who died in an accident.
    The second main character in the book is Parth ( Arjun's stepfather ) even though he is not Arjun's biological father but he loves him like his own son and does care about his mental health.
    The entry of Kaira in the story is like a ray of hope. Will she become the reason for happiness in Arjun's life? Will, he again start believing in love? To know further read the book.
